Support Cancer Patients in Fiji

Let's stand together as a community to raise awareness and kindle hope for every Fijian touched by cancer.

Fiji Cancer Society

The Fiji Cancer Society is the primary non-government organization in Fiji dedicated to supporting cancer patients and raising awareness about the disease across the island nation. Established in 1993, it serves as the national cancer center, providing essential services that often fill critical gaps in the public health system

Our Mission

To reduce the impact of cancer in Fiji through awareness, prevention, support, and advocacy

A Fiji where cancer is prevented, cured, and all those affected are supported.

Our Vision

Reduce Cancer Risk

Stop cancer before it starts. Move from awareness to motivation to take action. Activate Fijians to develop health and help seeking behavior, create change agents, change makers and change champions.

Meri Luvevou Qiolevu, a 39‑year‑old mother of four from Nawaka village in Nadi with maternal ties to Nadrau, Nadroga, discovered a lump in her left breast in 2019 and sought help from the Fiji Cancer Society. After tests at the Oncology Unit, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, experiencing pain in her shoulders and back. Though devastated at first, she chose surgery over herbal remedies and successfully underwent the procedure on 11 October 2021. Today, she is grateful and relieved, urging all Fijian women, especially mothers, to prioritize their health, seek medical care without fear when they notice abnormalities, and give thanks to God daily for His love and mercy.

Vokili Maraia Ali, a 39‑year‑old from Lautoka, was diagnosed in New Zealand on 18 May 2018 with Non‑Hodgkin’s Primary B‑Cell Mediastinal Lymphoma after experiencing a swollen neck and face, severe chest pain, breathlessness, and voice changes. Though the news brought a mix of emotions, she felt relief that her illness was finally identified and that she could receive proper care. Supported by her sister Daisy and the Fiji Cancer Society, she faced treatment with courage, even finding joy in the opportunity to travel during her journey.
